This short presentation summarily reports on a range of spatial planning issues and proposals which address Portsmouth’s future growth, sustainability and resilience.

Some key issues addressed include accommodating population expansion through new housing, improving strategic opportunities for mixed modal transport public transport, transforming the northern edge of the island, and improving connectivity and accessibility to Hayling island and Gosport (via a high clearance variable incline bridge).

A number of the issues summarised here are addressed in detail within other reports on this website, but not all.
