This scheme prepared by Deniz Beck and Walter Menteth proposes the adoption of a Low Traffic Zone (LTZ) in central Southsea, around Palmerston Road.

To increase the space available for high quality and safe walking, cycling, commerce and recreation on Palmerston Rd. a car free street with bus service, parking bays provided for the disabled and outside hours deliveries is provided by a one way shared surface carriageway within a well landscaped public realm.
